We had the opportunity of a lifetime, one of which I hope becomes a continuing experience not only for those who experienced the ride, but even us here at Grey Light Media!
On June 1, 2009 Cody Hall was critically injured in a construction accident while at work. On June 10, 2009 at 20 years old Cody was removed from life support. He donated his organs and saved and changed countless people’s lives. Cody’s Ride is an annual event to bring awareness and money for organ donations, as well as to keep the memory of Cody alive.
This year the ride was a little different, raising funds for a local of the community. Chase Smith, who is battling a rare form of cancer and his family. The event itself was amazing, an absolutely awesome turn out of over 100 bikes who joined together in these unprecedented times to ride and raise funds for this local man and his family.
We spent hours in the sun, taking hundreds of photos and simply enjoying being able to give back in some manner to these men and women who put together the event, participated in the event, and enjoyed the beautiful riding weather! When the rain came, we unfortunately had to end our night short, but we know that it was all for a fantastic cause and worth the sunburns we felt the next day.
Thank you again to all those who put up with the camera in their faces, and especially let us be the fly on the wall for such a great cause. A special shout out to the Hall Family, who welcomed us with open arms as we did our absolute best to capture the day in the fullest. We hope we can do this every year, hopefully bigger and better for 2021!
Thank you again,
